Production/Electrical Trainee – Aberdeen – c £16.00 – 19.00 per hour dependent on experience, Full time – Permanent role. Benefits include Holidays, Company Bonus Scheme and Company Pension Contributions.

Are you an enthusiastic hardworking hands-on individual with electrical and offshore experience? Do you have a minimum of 2 years recognised national Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical apprenticeship experience? Do you have industrial experience which includes installation of cable containment? The key focus of this role will be to proactively install, maintain and commission electrical equipment and cabling in a busy production department, to the highest standards of workmanship. Further training will be available for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

HSEQ

·Ensuring awareness and compliance with all company, client, and job specific procedures / legislation.

·Participating in company and client safety observation card programs.

·Attending safety meetings with HSEQ / client personnel as required.

·Assisting HSEQ Team in reporting and escalating any HSEQ incidents / concerns on site.

·Following relevant permit to work and isolation procedures and work instructions.

·Actively participating in toolbox talks.

General Responsibilities

·Installing, servicing, and repairing modules and associated equipment.

·Logging information for installed items.

·Liaising with product line and project teams to obtain necessary information to assist and build new equipment as required.

·Liaising with the Production Manager on work scopes required for; supplies, maintenance, manufacturing and testing.

·Sourcing information from third party representatives as necessary.

·Providing back-up assistance to colleagues as and when required.

Experience, skills, and knowledge required for the role.

·Certified/training to be electrical qualification.

·ComPex certification (desirable) – Training may be provided for the right candidate

·Offshore certification would be a desirable but not critical for the right person.

·An understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental issues/risks

·The ability to work unsupervised

·Ability to always work to a high standard.

·Ability to develop and follow operational instructions.

·Dedicated to promoting a positive image of the company.

·Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·Responsible attitude towards safety and equipment.

Previous relevant experience of working as an electrician in a maintenance environment or similar. Experience of appraising, ordering parts and carrying out electrical installation work
